‘ON USING THE TERM ‘INDIAN’’ (Peter Best) {June 20, 2015}:

“Indian” is the precise, legal and denotative term for what is in fact a purely race-based legal category of persons in Canada. It’s in the title of the ‘Indian Act’ and used throughout that statute. It’s in the Constitution of our country, referring to that class of aboriginals who inhabit southern Canada. (The other two legally defined types of aboriginals in the Constitution are “Inuit” and “Metis”.)

“If the reader feels uncomfortable seeing and reading the word everywhere because it “sounds racist”, then good! That’s the point — it is inherently racist! And as such, it’s inherently wrong that it’s in our Constitution, statutes and court decisions.

“Canada’s ultimate goal in this regard should be for us all to have no need or desire to have the word “Indian” in our Constitution, in any of our statutes, or to be a meaningful legal term generally…”

“We regret to say that nearly everything the so-called Wet’suwet’en land defenders and their supporters have been doing is in direct conflict with these traditional laws and protocols… The protesters have also taken it upon themselves to invite violent people {Mohawks and Vancouver ‘anarchists’} into ‘our territories’… Many are also afraid to speak up because of bullying and alienation by aggressive and confrontational people on social media, who do not know the facts.”

Here is a classic example of the Aboriginal Industry at work. First, you falsify the historical record; then, you claim damages for the alleged ‘injustice’. The actual facts never seem to carry much weight. From 2015:

“Councillors in Prince George, B.C., have voted in favour of renaming a civic park to commemorate a ‘dark past’ with a local ‘First Nation’ {aboriginal community}.

“In a 8-1 vote, council decided on Monday night to change the name of ‘Fort George Park’ to ‘Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park’. The name aims to acknowledge the history of the park, where, in 1913, the Lheidli T’enneh village was burned to make way for a railway and the city.

Government should never reward illegal protest. It invites more of the same and encourages disrespect for the law. As well, the federal government needs to remind aboriginal leadership that the waters off B.C.’s coast are Canada’s territorial waters…

“Talks with senior B.C. government officials were prompted by {illegal} fish-farm occupations last fall.”

“A B.C. provincial advisory council is recommending that fish farm companies be required to have agreements in place with local ‘First Nations’ {‘aboriginal communities’} before the province approves any new or replacement tenures…

“Protesters have {illegally} occupied multiple fish farms in the Broughton Archipelago over the past year {See below}, claiming they are operating in ‘First Nations’ ‘traditional territories’ without their consent.

Government needs to make it easier for Canadian businesses to get enforceable injunctions preventing illegal harassment from protesters at a workplace, and police need to be instructed to crack down – not back down – during these incidents. Businesses have a right to conduct their legal, licensed affairs without interference. This kind of nonsense is happening far too often and is yet another result of Race Based Law:

“Setting out from Port Hardy on Vancouver Island, members of at least six B.C. ‘First Nations’ {‘Siberian settler communities’} took to the sea Monday to deliver an ‘eviction notice’ to a fish farm operated by ‘Marine Harvest’, one of Canada’s largest producers of farmed Atlantic salmon.

“This is our ‘right’ and this is ‘our {ancestors’ former} territory’ and we need to protect it,”
