‘We Need To Be Full Partners in All Future Economic Growth through Treaty, ‘Inherent’ and Land Rights, Says Ontario Regional Chief Isadore Day’

“This is the 166th anniversary of the signing of the ‘Robinson Huron Treaty’ {See below}. The lands and waters around Lakes Huron and Superior provided the resources for European settlers to farm, fish, mine and trade with our Peoples. The rich resources of our lands {and all the hard work, ingenuity and investment brought by Europeans and other immigrants from around the world} allowed the future economic growth of what would later become the Province of Ontario and the country of Canada.  Continue reading ‘Chief Wants More Money’

‘Who owns culture?’

“Scholarship cannot thrive if limits are placed on who can investigate the past, or if lines of investigation are shut down. The Western traditions for the production and disposition of knowledge…are the best way to research history and culture.” ERBLWhoOwnsCulture800x800“In America, Canada, Australasia and even parts of Europe, since the 1990s ‘indigenous’ people have been granted extensive control over art and artefacts in museums. Museum policies mandate the active involvement of ‘source communities’…in decisions about exhibitions, research and the care of objects.

“An unfortunate elision is made between someone’s ethnicity and their authority to speak definitively about cultural artefacts, which excludes those who do not share that ethnicity, despite their expertise.

“It has meant the disappearance from public display of important material. Artefacts are segregated and access to them limited if they are sacred or have ceremonial status. Continue reading ‘Who owns culture?’

‘Real Change: $$$$$ FROM The Middle Class’

Congratulations to the CBC propaganda machine, Supreme Court Chief Justice Beverly McLaughlin (self-appointed omnipotent leader of ALL decisions, laws, lands & peoples), all the Race Supremacist Native Leaders, and the strong-arm government unions, on their electoral victory in Canada’s 2015 leadership race.
ERBLRealChangeFROMTheMiddleClass800x800We should all be concerned how biased the CBC is with all our money, whether they were biased towards or against anyone or any party. No playing favourites — that’s not journalism, it’s propaganda.

Justin Trudeau, arguably the least qualified, least intelligent, least educated, least suited to the job of Prime Ministership of Canada in the history of our nation, will be a great puppet for the Liberal backroom boys, the “Indian Industry” lawyers, the aboriginal Chiefs for whom we do not vote, to whom he has promised the world. ‘All Is Not Well In B.C.’

“The first issue is a governance question. Are British Columbians to be ruled by a government (in this case, the Sechelt ‘First Nation’…) in which we have no vote or voice? This is basic and an affront to democracy.”

ERBLAllIsNotWellInBC800x800“We will assert our right to overcome the provincial jurisdiction. The province will have no more say in how they run ‘our land’, how they manage ‘our resources’. They will have no more say in the foreshore, they will have no more say in the water rights, they will have no more say in how forest tenures are handed out. We have put them on notice.”

–Sechelt (‘shishalh’) Chief Calvin Craigan   Continue reading ‘All Is Not Well In B.C.’
