A courageous woman from the Onion Lake Band in Saskatchewan, with the help of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, has won a court ruling that effectively restores the ‘First Nations’ Financial Transparency Act – at least for her Band.

“A Saskatchewan ‘First Nation’ is being forced to reveal how it spends its money after a legal battle that’s played out over the last year.

“The Saskatchewan Court of Appeal upheld a June 15, 2017, ruling from Court of Queen’s Bench which ordered Onion Lake Cree ‘Nation’ — {a ‘nation’ of 5,032 people} situated about 50 kilometres north of Lloydminster — to publish basic financial information. Continue reading ‘Opening the Books’ →

“Honourable Senators… I want to present a somewhat different side of the residential school story…

“Today, I will take a broad look at several timely ‘indigenous’ issues that are before us. I speak partly for the record, but mostly in memory of the kindly and well-intentioned men and women and their descendants — perhaps some of us here in this chamber — whose remarkable works, good deeds and historical tales in the residential schools go unacknowledged for the most part, and are overshadowed by negative reports. ‘Bet Anyone Ten Bucks This Works’


I have not been at my computer much the last few months, but out on the town in Vancouver a whole lot, tweeting from my phone now and then, but mostly being face-to-face speaking with people about this issue. I speak with people from every walk of life and every nationality from around the world, in every culture.

I can tell you right now that I have yet to experience even one bit of negative feedback. It’s been 100% agreement that things have gone too far, they need to be pulled back, and we all need to start talking about unity.

Not one single argument…not one. I have had this conversation now with hundreds and hundreds of people, and not even one person fought me. ‘Clean Up Your Own Backyard’


While Justice Murray Sinclair of the ‘Truth and Reconciliation Commission’ continues to lecture and guilt-trip Canadians for the perceived ‘sins’ of their ancestors, his wife has been accused of repeatedly bullying and intimidating both clients and staff at the aboriginal aid society {‘Native Women’s Transition Centre’} which she directs — a story that the mainstream media, and ‘CBC Aboriginal’, continue to ignore:ERBLCleanUpYourOwnBackyard800x800‘Judge’s wife placed on leave after complaints of toxic workplace’  

    “I was in an abusive relationship… I didn’t think I was going to be walking into something so similar to what I was in.”  

    “This is not residential school all over again.”
