WHO IS WORKING FOR AVERAGE CANADIANS ANYMORE? I admit I’m a bit depressed about voting in Canada’s 2015 election. I wish there was a visionary who didn’t take no for an answer when it comes to Canadian values — which BTW is not blind tolerance, so that anyone with resentments, hatred, racism, and fascist aggressions can overrule, override or overstep their boundaries with OUR DEMOCRACTICALLY ELECTED GOVERNMENT. It’s democracy and freedom itself we all need to not only vote for, but to fight for. It’s our turn and we need a leader who can stand with us in building this nation as a cohesive entity, not to pander to special interest groups at every hypocritical turn, which only stands to corrode, demoralize and divide our nation.
ALL CANDIDATES NEED TO STOP PLAYING DRESS-UP, IGNORING & PRETENDING RACE LAWS AREN’T A VERY REAL THREAT TO OUR NATION.
Race laws leave us open to Sharia Law. JUST SAY IT.
Every freedom-loving Canadian, natives included, has a reason to stand up and protect our value system, and lately we’ve been threatened by a number of things which promise to take us all backwards, not forwards.
Human rights, civil rights, equality before the law, freedom of speech — these are the things we should be striving for, which our ancestors died for us to have, and we should be expecting it of anyone who stands beside us, or who represents us, or of anyone who wants to be ONE OF US.
TO BE CANADIAN IS THE GREATEST HONOUR & PRIVILEGE ON THE GLOBE!
WE NEED TO STICK TOGETHER AND CARVE OUT OUR DESTINY WITH THE SAME HEART, PASSION AND DETERMINATION IT TOOK TO BUILD THIS GREAT COUNTRY, or we will lose it.
It’s our duty, our debt, and our honour to carry on the legacy of the humble strength of our ancestors, OUR BRAVE VETS BOTH PAST & PRESENT, as well as our present-day urban and rural warriors, who get up every day to serve this great country, THE ONLY SOVEREIGN NATION on this vast land, in more ways than anyone ever counts, pats them on the back for, or seems to even care about.
WHO IS FIGHTING FOR US MILLIONS & MILLIONS OF CANADIANS WHO LOVE OUR COUNTRY AND WANT TO LIVE HERE WITH FREEDOM-LOVING VALUES?
With all this pandering to the most offended groups in Canada, and a climate cult that doesn’t seem able to put feeding kids ahead of their hysteria for pipes, who has time for the real world and the rest of us? These are the same pipes their human waste goes into and they never seem too bothered by that as it goes out to waterways day in and day out, and poses a far greater health and environmental risk, but hey — others take care of that, so protesters don’t have to worry about any of it, just as they also don’t have a clue how to bring energy to anyone. Others do all of that icky hard work — they just attack them for it and think they are saving the planet while they use oil all day, every day, in everything they touch and do.
My father is a water treatment expert, has been for 60 years, along with his world-renowned scientist partner/friend of more years than that. They have been working incredibly hard for a few years on a project to clean up the tailings ponds on the oil sands.
I was raised to not only believe in the ingenuity of mankind, but to see it in action all through my life with my family and the people with whom they did business, and also in sports and the arts.
My lessons were that dreamers, doers of every kind, like brilliant scientists, are the reason we are able to enjoy this amazingly comfortable world in which we currently exist, and that if we just trust our innate human desires to KNOW & UNDERSTAND WHY THINGS WORK THE WAY THEY DO, to learn, to reach, create, discover, unveil truths, solve problems, and ultimately make our existence here better, that’s what we will do. That is what we are built to do.
TO STIFLE ANY CREATIVITY IS TO STIFLE OUR TRUE POTENTIAL AND HINDER OUR FUTURE.
We must maintain the building of a nation where everyone can say what they need and want to say, to explore all sides, all arguments, all perspectives, all possibilities — TO HAVE CONVERSATIONS. The pursuit of knowledge is what brought us to this moment in time, and nothing else should come before it, be it religion, politics, race, or personal feelings.
If anyone for any reason can’t put their personal race/religion/agendas issues aside to be equal with all of us, then that’s their problem and we need to march past it and create the world we dream of for the future.
We were all from the past, we are all indigenous and we are all equal. If we are not fighting for each other EQUALLY, it’s discrimination — so call it ALL what it is, and don’t worry about who’s on the other end of it. The more offended they are, the quicker they’ll figure out that others don’t agree with silencing freedom of speech, or of creating so many divisions based on race or religion. If people can’t get along, why are we catering to them? They can bend to us and our values, since they are and should be the best and highest standards in the world.
What makes us Canadians is that we are from everywhere, every race, every culture, every story, and we all make it work, and in our heart of hearts we all pay varying degrees of homage to the sacred philosophical world of hockey, whether we like or play the sport or not. It’s just the way we unite through play, through hard work and appreciation of great skill, and through comradery in adverse conditions.
Canada….it’s up to us.
We have to tell our politicians what we want, so they can stand up to the perpetually, professionally offended, and know we’re with them. They all get fired for saying the wrong thing that isn’t politically correct — aka, ‘fascism in stopping freedom of speech by shaming and ostracising’ — and we all have to stop catering to it, and be brave enough to have these uncomfortable and sometimes heated and difficult discussions.
Please talk about race laws with your kids, your neighbors, your family, your local politicians, and talk about it in the broader perspective of how the Civil War in America made white men fight white men, to free black slaves. It was not a comfortable transition, but I really do believe we, as Canadians, can move forward with our own civil rights movement, without a war. The aboriginals need us, and they have to stop attacking everyone and start making some friends and allies. They’re going to need them.
Get out and vote. It’s your privilege, and many didn’t and don’t have it.
Ask yourself and your friends what it is to be Canadian. What do you value about being Canadian?
I value that we are all united under one roof. I value that more than I value anything else in life.
PETITION TO THE HOUSE OF COMMONS:
WE, the undersigned citizens of Canada, draw the attention of the Government of Canada to the following:
THAT whereas the Indian Act and Section 91(24) of the Constitution Act, (1867) have divided Canadians by race and heritage; have perpetuated the unequal treatment of Canadian Indians, providing the legal framework for segregation via the reserve system; have prevented reserve Indians from equal provincial educational access; have prevented reserve Indians from having the full legal, economic and property rights and opportunities of other Canadian citizens;
AND whereas the inclusion of Sections 35 and 25 in the Constitution Act (1982) have divided Canadians by race and heritage; have disrupted legal commercial and exploration activities; have introduced legal uncertainty into property ownership; have left some Canadians without proper police protection, as in Caledonia, Ont.; and have left most Canadians with diminished rights with every expansion of ‘indigenous rights’ based on Section 35;
AND whereas the inclusion of “with particular attention to the circumstances of aboriginal offenders” in Section 718.2(e) of the Criminal Code (R.S.C., 1985, c. C-46) has resulted in a two-tiered system of justice, wherein Canadians receive different legal outcomes, depending on their race/ethnic heritage;
AND whereas the United Nations “Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples” contains provisions that are fundamentally incompatible with Canada’s constitutional framework;
THEREFORE, your Petitioners call upon the Government of Canada to take the following actions:
THE passage of the repeal of the Indian Act;
THE passage of the removal of “with particular attention to the circumstances of aboriginal offenders” in Section 718.2(e) of the Criminal Code (R.S.C., 1985, c. C-46);
THE removal of Canada’s signature from the United Nations “Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples”;
THE calling of a Constitutional conference, pursuant to Section 35.1 of the Constitution Amendment Proclamation (1983), leading to the repeal of Sections 35 and 25 of the Constitution Act (1982), and Section 91(24) of the Constitution Act (1867);
THE active encouragement of the provincial legislatures to do the same, or via provincial referenda; and the calling of a federal/provincial Constitutional conference to finalize these changes desired by the people of Canada, including setting a date for the final termination of Treaty and land claims submissions.
