‘Race Based Law Costing More…and More’

This is only part of the Canadian federal government’s Segregated fiscal ‘obligations’ where ‘Aboriginal Peoples’ are concerned…and does not include the enormous network of Provincial and Municipal-government Aboriginal-only programs – programs that are in almost every Ministry and department:

The federal government’s 2024-25 budget sets aside nearly $32 billion for ‘Indigenous’ {sic} Services Canada (‘I’SC) and Crown-‘Indigenous’ Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (C‘I’RNAC). That’s more than what Ottawa is spending on National Defence ($29.9 billion), and over half of what’s being transferred to provinces for health care through the Canada Health Transfer ($52.1 billion).

‘Voices from the Reserves (Sept. 2024)’

Canadians never get to hear the voices of Aboriginal reserve residents – only those of Aboriginal leadership and their academic and media ‘allies’. However, Aboriginal social media provides an avenue for their expression. Names have been omitted in order to protect them from the official reprisals that are the norm on far too many reserves…

“For those of you fighting the corruption and fraud within your leadership, please remember that it does take a toll on you mentally, emotionally and various others forms of negative effects like loss of sleep or focus from your work. Sometimes these are battles you will never win. Not everyone cares as much as you do, sometimes you have to rely on Karma to do all the fighting for you. Know your battles, but don’t let it take you away from meaningful time with your family. Also remember, these leaders have to sleep at night also knowing they have to face their reality in the morning. Hiy Hiy.”

ERBL ep7 – Why Does It Garner So Much Fear – With Gerry Gagnon And Michele Tittler

Original Post:

WHY DOES IT GARNER SO MUCH FEAR….?’ (Michele Tittler) {June 20, 2015}:

Aside from race laws in our constitution, the Indian Act needs to be abolished, and so many of the aboriginals feel the same way about it, so why are we not all doing this together? Them included.

Why can’t we END RACE BASED LAW, abolish the Indian Act, and stop feeding the Indian Industry?”

‘Deadly Dogs On Reserves’

“Quebec provincial police are investigating after a one-year-old boy was found dead and covered in bite marks in the Nunavik community of Kangiqsujuaq, Que. Early evidence suggests the baby was mauled by dogs near his home.

“A spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec says the infant was found dead June 29 on his neighbour’s land. His body was surrounded by dogs… Continue reading ‘Deadly Dogs On Reserves’

‘A Tradition Of Corruption’

“The corrupt practices employed by several of the Respondents during the 2016 Band election appear to reflect a long-standing tradition and acceptance by some members of vote buying and other dishonest attempts to influence electoral outcomes.”

“Vote buying and other improprieties took place during and after the 2016 chief and council election on Key ‘First Nation’ {a ‘nation’ of 1,165 people}, says a federal court judge. Continue reading ‘A Tradition Of Corruption’

‘Opening the Books’

A courageous woman from the Onion Lake Band in Saskatchewan, with the help of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, has won a court ruling that effectively restores the ‘First Nations’ Financial Transparency Act – at least for her Band.
Congratulations, Charmaine…

“A Saskatchewan ‘First Nation’ is being forced to reveal how it spends its money after a legal battle that’s played out over the last year.

“The Saskatchewan Court of Appeal upheld a June 15, 2017, ruling from Court of Queen’s Bench which ordered Onion Lake Cree ‘Nation’ — {a ‘nation’ of 5,032 people} situated about 50 kilometres north of Lloydminster — to publish basic financial information. Continue reading ‘Opening the Books’

‘Tribal Dysfunction Costs Manitoba Taxpayers’

This story continues without a resolution, from a combination of government incompetence and cowardice. As a result, the law is not being enforced against this aboriginal group, and the rest of Manitobans are paying for this unequal application of the law…

In 1996, an armed rebellion (including members of the ‘Manitoba Warriors’ criminal gang) which resulted in the arson of 3 homes (including the Chief’s), resulted in the eviction of 350 Band members from what was then called the Waterhen reserve in Manitoba.

The dispute revolved around the competition for power between two dominant families {“Local legend has it that the bad blood between the Catcheway and Nepinak families dates back over 100 years.”}. Since then, the rebels have demanded their own reserve but the federal government insists that new land for it must be subtracted from the original reserve. The Waterhen (now Skownan) ‘First Nation’ refuses to sanction the changes, so the rebels have been housed since 1996 by ‘Manitoba Housing’, and have refused to pay rent for 21 years…

“‘Indigenous’ {‘descendants of Siberian settler’} families who face eviction from ‘Manitoba Housing’ units in Portage la Prairie…have vowed to move onto the legislature lawn when they lose their homes.

They’ve been living in Manitoba Housing in Portage since 1996, but have never paid rent. The province says they owe more than $1.2 million Continue reading ‘Tribal Dysfunction Costs Manitoba Taxpayers’

‘Apartheid Kills’

“I believe and see evidence that the great fundamental problem lies with the ‘apartheid’ system into which Aboriginals have been thrust for 150 years or more,” Lefrançois wrote in his report. “It is time to put an end to this apartheid system, and for all of the authorities concerned to confront that challenge.”

erblapartheidkills800x800

“A Quebec coroner’s report on five suicides in two Innu communities in the province said a system similar to apartheid is at the root of the problems that led to the people’s deaths.

“Despite all the money and efforts of the various levels of government over the past few decades, despite the treaties and agreements signed and the many discussions and negotiations, little is changing. To expect an improvement, you have to address the problems and consider solutions differently”, wrote Lefrancois…

‘Onion Lake resident calls for release of Band’s financial documents’

erblwherehasallthemoneygone800x800

“A resident of the Onion Lake Cree ‘Nation’ {a ‘nation’ of 5,032 people and “The country’s top oil producing ‘First Nation’”} is launching a court application to try to get answers about how her Band is spending its money.

“Charmaine Stick, an Onion Lake Band member, launched an application in Regina…asking the court to force her band to disclose its salaries, expenses and financial statements.
